Monthly report: Power battery market is not as brisk as expected

There hasn't been much change on the lithium battery market. This time of year should've been quiet for digital battery but busy for power battery market according to past experience. However, this year digital battery is indeed having a hard time and prices are in decline lately, while power battery market has failed to brisk up as it did in previous years. Looking from production arrangement of power battery enterprises, the situation of late is better than that in the first half of the year although it is still a far cry from that a year ago. Given the time period from the placing of orders and the finishing of production, power battery market performance is forecast to be flat in August and the whole-year estimate could be lower than expected. Right now, prevailing prices of 2500mAh cylindrical products for digital application are 6.3-6.6 yuan/piece, power battery pouch 1.3 yuan /wh.
