On the 28th of this month, Qualcomm and DeepRoute.ai jointly announced that the ADAS solution built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride Platform Premium Edition (Snapdragon 8797) has officially commenced shipments for mass-production projects, with several Chinese intelligent connected vehicle brands set to be the first to adopt it. This marks the first large-scale integration of the Snapdragon 8797 platform into vehicles in China. The Snapdragon 8797 is Qualcomm's latest-generation dedicated platform for intelligent driving, featuring nearly a threefold improvement in CPU and GPU performance, a 12-fold increase in NPU performance for multimodal AI, and support for over 40 cameras and multimodal sensors to meet L3/L4-level decision-making requirements.
As a deep-seated partner of Qualcomm, DeepRoute.ai is simultaneously advancing the integration of its VLA (Vision-Language-Action) large model into vehicles. Its self-developed 40B-parameter intelligent driving foundation model unifies driving decision-making, scene understanding, and behavior evaluation within a single architecture, reducing the data closed-loop iteration cycle from approximately 5 days to about 12 hours, an efficiency improvement of over tenfold. To date, mass-produced vehicles equipped with DeepRoute.ai's urban NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) function have accumulated over 1.3 billion kilometers of travel, preventing tens of thousands of potential collision incidents. Its advanced driver-assistance system has been applied to over 15 vehicle models from brands such as Great Wall Motors, Geely, and Smart, covering 300,000 vehicles. The company plans to exceed 1 million vehicles by 2026. Both parties stated that the mass production and implementation based on the Snapdragon 8797 will accelerate the full-chain deployment of the VLA large model from "cognition" to "execution."
