Lyric Robot & Quintus Sign Cold-Isostatic-Press Partnership for Solid-State Battery Commercializatio

Guangdong Lyric Robot Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (“Lyric Robot”) and Quintus Technologies AB (“Quintus”), the Swedish pioneer and world leader in high-pressure technology, formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The two companies will jointly develop next-generation cold-isostatic-pressing (CIP) equipment dedicated to solid-state batteries, removing critical manufacturing bottlenecks and moving global solid-state battery mass production into a new phase.

 

 

A joint technical team will be formed, merging Quintus’ ultra-high-pressure platform with Lyric’s deep battery-process know-how and intelligent-system design. The goal is to deliver more efficient, more stable and truly production-ready CIP solutions to battery makers worldwide.

Lyric Robot – proven expertise in lithium-ion smart manufacturing, strong R&D, turnkey line integration and rapid global service.

 

Lyric has worked on solid-state battery (SSB) production for years and is now able to offer complete turnkey lines for sulfide, oxide, polymer and halide systems. Its core technologies cover high-pressure densification, electrolyte-to-cathode lamination, sealing and high-pressure formation. To speed up validation, Lyric has built a dedicated clean-lab equipped with dry-coated electrode coating, frame printing, solid-state stacking, lithium-foil laser cutting and Li/Cu composite testing.

 

Nov 2024 – Lyric won the first complete sulfide-SSB line in China (front, middle and back-end equipment).

 

Jul 2025 – Delivery of that full SSB line to a top-tier Chinese cell maker began.

Oct 2025 – Lyric and Henan Zhongyuan Special Steel Equipment Co. set up a joint lab focused on SSB CIP development.

 

Cold-isostatic pressing is emerging as a key enabler for gigafactory-scale SSB output: higher energy density, lower pack weight, longer cycle life; reduced internal resistance and shorter charge times; uniform pressure for consistent cell quality; simplified flow compared with conventional Li-ion; and true high-volume capability.
