Toyota fuel cell project settled in Beijing

On October 24th, the groundbreaking ceremony of Toyota's fuel cell R&D and production project (phase I) was held in Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone. This project is an important strategic measure for Toyota to introduce and promote hydrogen fuel cell technology in China in the field of hydrogen fuel cells.

 

 

The main body of the project is composed of United Fuel Cell System R&D (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as FCRD) and Huafeng Fuel Cell Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as FCTS), which will build fuel cell system production lines, testing lines and R&D centers to produce fuel cell system products and carry out fuel cell system related research and development work. Based on the concept of environmental protection, the production will be based on the TPS production method to create an intelligent production system and will have the ability to respond flexibly to market demand. The completion of the project will drive the healthy and rapid development of the hydrogen energy industry, effectively promote the promotion of fuel cell vehicles, and accelerate the realization of "hydrogen energy society" and "environmental protection mobile society".

 

At the ceremony, Mr. Dong Changzheng, Chairman of FCTS and FCRD, which was established by Toyota Motor Corporation and Chinese partners, said: "We firmly believe that with the official completion of the two companies and the rapid operation of the two companies, it will help promote the development and growth of Beijing's hydrogen energy innovation industry chain and boost the national hydrogen energy technology innovation and industrial development." We will also strive to promote the popularization of hydrogen fuel cells and help achieve carbon neutrality from Beijing, where Toyota fuel cells started in China, to all parts of the country. ”
 

“Based on the Chinese market demand, the two companies have launched two products to the market, TL Power 100 and TL Power 80. Both products achieve the industry's highest power density and ultra-long cruising range of more than 30,000 hours. We are also developing a series of products suitable for the needs of various commercial vehicle markets, and these products are based on Toyota's technology and production experience accumulated over many years, and have industry-leading high performance and quality.
 

So far, Toyota has worked with Chinese partners to improve the construction of the whole process system of China's dedicated fuel cell system from development to market input and service. In the future, Toyota will continue to work with Chinese partners to promote the further development of China's hydrogen energy society, accelerate the commercialization of hydrogen fuel cell technology in China, and work with like-minded partners to build China's hydrogen energy society and contribute to China's carbon neutrality.
