According to the data released by the CPCA, the wholesale of new energy passenger vehicles in 2021 will be 3.312 million units, a year-on-year increase of 181.0%; the retail sales of new energy vehicles will be 2.989 million units in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 169.1%.
 
On January 11, the CPCA released relevant data on the analysis of the national passenger car market in 2021. Data show that in 2021, 3.312 million new energy passenger vehicles will be wholesaled, a year-on-year increase of 181.0%. Among them, the wholesale sales of new energy passenger vehicles in December 2021 reached 505,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 138.9% and a month-on-month increase of 17.8%. Among them, pure electric wholesale sales were 423,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 137.9%; plug-in hybrid sales were 82,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 143.9%, accounting for 16%.
 
In December 2021, the sales of high-end models of electric vehicles will grow strongly, the middle and low-end models will be strong, and the dumbbell-shaped structure of the pure electric market will be improved. Among them, the wholesale sales volume of A00 class is 139,000, and the share reaches 33% of pure electric; The number of vehicles reached 114,000, an increase of 25% month-on-month, accounting for 27% of the pure electric share.
 
In 2021, the retail sales of new energy vehicles will be 2.989 million, a year-on-year increase of 169.1%. Among them, the retail sales of new energy passenger vehicles in December 2021 reached 475,000 units, a year-on-year increase of 128.8% and a month-on-month increase of 25.4%.
 
In comparison, 17.79 million traditional fuel vehicles will be wholesaled in 2021, a year-on-year decrease of 4%; retail sales will be 17.16 million, a year-on-year decrease of 6%. According to the analysis of the Federation of Passenger Transport Associations, the trend of new energy vehicles and traditional fuel vehicles is clearly differentiated. New energy vehicles will realize the substitution effect on the fuel vehicle market and drive the auto market to accelerate the pace of transformation to new energy.
 
In terms of market penetration rate, the wholesale penetration rate of new energy vehicle manufacturers in 2021 is 15.7%, a significant increase from the 5.8% penetration rate in 2020. Among them, in December 2021, the wholesale penetration rate of new energy vehicle manufacturers was 21.3%, the penetration rate of self-owned brand new energy vehicles was 35.2%; the penetration rate of new energy vehicles among luxury cars was 27.2%; and the penetration rate of mainstream joint venture brand new energy vehicles was only 3.7%. %.
 
In 2021, the domestic retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles is 14.8%, which is a significant increase from the penetration rate of 5.8% in 2020. Among them, in December 2021, the domestic retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles was 22.6%, the penetration rate of new energy vehicles among self-owned brands was 39%; the penetration rate of new energy vehicles among luxury cars was 32.7%; and the penetration rate of new energy vehicles among mainstream joint venture brands The rate is only 3.3%.
 
Specific to car companies, in December 2021, the new energy passenger car market diversified, SAIC Group and GAC Group performed relatively strongly, and traditional car companies highlighted the highlights. BYD's pure electric and plug-and-mix two-wheel drive is stronger. There are 14 enterprises with wholesale sales exceeding 10,000, a significant increase over the previous period, including: BYD 93,338, Tesla China 70,847, SAIC-GM-Wuling 60,372, Great Wall Motor 20,926, Chery Automobile 20,501, Geely Automobile 16,831, Xiaopeng Automobile 16,000, SAIC Passenger Car 14,868, GAC Aian 14,500, Ideal Car 14,087, FAW-Volkswagen 11,213, NIO Automobile 10,489 vehicles, Chang’an Automobile has 10,404 vehicles and United Automobile 10,127 vehicles.
 
In addition, in December 2021, the export of new energy vehicles maintained strong growth, SAIC passenger car exports of 5716 new energy vehicles, Geely Automobile 637 vehicles, BYD 563 vehicles, Tesla China exported 245 vehicles, Great Wall Motors 203 vehicles, other car companies new energy vehicles mainly in the domestic market.
 
Looking forward to 2022, the Association believes that with the implementation of new energy subsidies, the price of some models has been fine-tuned, and the consumer mentality has also changed, and the demand for new energy vehicles will still be slightly affected. However, new energy vehicles continue to be hot, and there is currently a large backlog of undelivered orders in the early stage, so most of the sales of new energy models will not be significantly affected by the decline.
 
In the fourth quarter of 2021, China's new energy passenger car sales of 1.3 million, with the domestic consumers' recognition of the new energy market significantly improved, the strength of policy subsidies is stable, will inevitably promote the total sales of China's new energy vehicles in 2022 soared, continue to maintain the world's more than 50% share of the super leading position.
 
Previously, the CACP expected to sell 4.8 million new energy passenger cars in 2022, and on January 11, the association adjusted this expected data, and it predicted that the sales of new energy passenger cars in 2022 should be adjusted to more than 5.5 million, and the penetration rate reached about 25%; new energy vehicles are expected to exceed 6 million, and the penetration rate of new energy vehicles is about 22%.
