According to ICCSINO, Chinese cathode material output has shown y-o-y growth, especially LFP cathode market performance is good and increased by more than 50% om 2020. Not only NEV market, but also small power market has been in upward trend. ICCSINO does some analysis on Chinese lithium ion market in June
1. Installed vehicle battery volume was 4.7GWh, M-T-M up 34%, Y-O-Y down 29%. It’s worth mentioning that LFP battery installment increased quickly t 1.7GWh, whose proportion reached 35.5. Installed NCM vehicle battery volume was 3 GWh, M-T-M up 12%.
2. According to ICCSINO database, Chinese cathode materiao output was 35.6KMT, Y-O-Y up 27.7%, in which LFP output was 11900 MT, Y-O-Y up 110.8%. NCM & NCA output was 13900 MT, Y-O-Y up 5%. LMO output was 7000MT, Y-O-Y up 13.7%. LCO output was 5800 MT, Y-O-Yup 11.6%.
3. Chinese new energy vehicle production was 102K units, M-T-M up 21.3%, Y-O-Y down 25%. Pure battery EV production was 79000 units, PHEV production was 23000 units.
4. Chinese e-bike production in May was 2627K units, M-T-M up 4.6%, Y-O-Y up 45.4%. Accumulated e-bike production was 8594K units, Y-O-Y up 1.2%.
5. Chinese phone shipment continued to decline. Total shipment in June was 28630K units in June, M-T-M down 5.2%, Y-O-Y down 16.6%, in which 5G phone shipment was 17513K units, taking up for 61.2%.
