Note: Chinese lithium ion demand was warming up dur to overseas lithium ion recovering. But the whole market is in the stage of inventory digesting. ICCSINO forecast market would improve under policy stimulus and overseas demand recovering.
Lithium Ion Battery
Vehicle battery market was stable this week and operating rate maintained low level. ICCSINO estimates that new energy vehicle market would have negative growth since vehicle market has performed poorly in past 2 months and there is no sign of recovery. With CPC conference held, ICCSINO expects more policies to be implemented
Cathode material
NCM: Chinese NCM market presents serious oversupply and recently price was stable this week. Some Ni55 NCM transaction price was lower than 90000 yuan/MT. Lithium ion battery recovering was not conduct to NCM market because of high level of battery inventories.
NCM Precursor: Chinese NCM precursor shipment was not good influenced by poor demand of downstream NCM market. But price is expected to rebound driven by increase price of electrolytic cobalt and nickel. Nickel sulfate and cobalt sulfate price is stable compared with last week.
LFP: Chinese LFP price was stable and market is good driven by increasing ESS demand. ICCSINO estimates that LFP output in Mat would exceed 9000MT.
LMO: Chinese LMO market was stable this week. LMO demand from small-power and cylindrical market is relatively good.
Lithium Carbonate: Lithium market was weakening and industrial grade price slight decreased from last week, which is affected by declining demand from cathode material. ICCSINO forecast lithium carbonate price would maintain low in short term.
Anode material:
Chinese anode price was stable this week and enterprises’ shipment was not good. But overall anode supply has slight increase compared with last week. Anode’s raw material market was not optimistic since Chinese petroleum coke has fallen by 200 yuan / ton, and needle coke market was highly competitive. ICCSINO estimates that anode market would maintain current stability.
Separator:
Chinese separator market was stable and overseas market was gradually recovering this week, in which dry process separator sales performance was relatively robust. Chinese leading separator enterprises continue to expand their market share. ICCSINO forecasts that separator demand is expected to increase with overseas closure policy relieved.
