Monthly report:Needle coke prices fell 8 percent to 11 percent in February

     ICC:In February, the domestic needle coke market price dropped by 8-11%, and the downstream wait-and-see sentiment was difficult to fall. By the end of February, the domestic price of coal-based needle coke is 23,000-26,000 yuan/ton, that of oil-based needle coke is 24,000-27,000 yuan/ton, and that of coke production is 13,000-14,000 yuan/ton. Imported needle coke costs $3500-4,600 per ton, and coke costs $1,200-2,250 per ton. Progress of new needle coke enterprises in February: tangshan dongri 100,000 ton coal needle coke project has now entered the equipment installation stage, and it is expected to conduct trial production in June. The 50,000 ton graphite electrode project is expected to be completed in December. Jinzhou chemical's 50,000-ton coal needle coke project is expected to enter the feeding stage in late march, and the product can be put on the market in April at the soonest. The 50,000-ton coal-based needle coke project of xuyang xingyu and baoshun chemical is expected to complete trial production before May 1. Sinopec maoming 100,000 tons of oil needle coke project has been approved by the headquarters, the smooth start, is expected to be in the market in the second quarter of 2020.
