Coal tar pitch prices increased this month, with modified pitch prices ranging from 3,800 to 3,850 yuan/ton and medium-temperature pitch prices between 3,650 and 4,000 yuan/ton at the end of the month. The rise in coal tar pitch prices was primarily driven by the increase in raw material coal tar prices, coupled with a decline in operating rates among deep-processing enterprises this month. However, downstream demand for coal tar pitch was only just sufficient for restocking, with moderate demand support. With increased production expected after the holiday season, coal tar pitch faces significant resistance in further price increases.
