This week, the natural graphite market maintained stability. In terms of supply and demand, major graphite producers have resumed normal production schedules, ensuring a stable market supply. However, downstream sectors have downgraded their expectations for August, making it unlikely to witness the anticipated late-summer order peak. Consequently, natural graphite prices remained under pressure in the short term due to these downgraded expectations. As of now, the mainstream prices for -195 flake graphite in Heilongjiang Province range from 2,900 to 3,200 yuan/ton, -194 flake graphite from 2,700 to 3,000 yuan/ton, and -190 flake graphite from 2,300 to 2,600 yuan/ton. In Shandong, the mainstream prices for -195 flake graphite are 3,100 to 3,400 yuan/ton, and -194 flake graphite is priced at 2,900 to 3,200 yuan/ton, with actual transaction prices tending towards the lower end of these ranges.
The spherical graphite market continues to follow an order-driven production strategy, with production lines activated according to demand and maintaining reasonable inventories. As of now, the mainstream negotiation price for large-sized spherical graphite (15-20 microns) remains stable at around 12,500 yuan/ton, while small-sized spherical graphite (6 microns) is priced at approximately 18,000 yuan/ton.
