Monthly report: needle coke shipment and price up i October

Supported by the demand side market in October, the overall performance of the needle coke market was stable and positive. As of the end of October, Chinese domestic coal-based needle coke price was 5,000-6,000 yuan/ton, and the oil-based needle coke price was 5500-6500 yuan. /Ton, the price of green coke is 4000-5000 yuan/ton; in terms of import, the price of coal needle coke is 600-1100USD, the price of oil needle coke is 800-1150 USD/ton, and the price of anode coke is 450-750USD/ton. For needle coke companies, although they save energy and reduce consumption in many ways, the cost pressure is still difficult to resolve, and the income situation is not optimistic. This month, the main units have adjusted their prices. For example, Jingyang Technology announced a product price adjustment on October 27. The adjusted green coke price is 4500-5500 yuan/ton; calcined needle coke is 6500-7500 yuan/ton. Yida New Materials decided on October 28 to increase the sales price of needle coke from November 1, 2020. After adjustment, the price of green coke is 4800-5800 yuan/ton, and the price of calcined coke is 6500-7500 yuan/ton. On the whole, the current supply of needle coke is not sufficient, and some even take money to line up for delivery. In the short term, the downstream market will continue to improve, and the price of needle coke will be firm and even rise with a high probability.

The first phase of the 100,000-ton coal-based needle coke project of Tangshan Shandong Rixin Energy successfully produced the first coke on the evening of October 7, and the calcined coke is expected to be carried out at the end of the month.

 

Shandong Yida New Materials Co., Ltd. is located in the chemical industry park of Jiaxiang County, Jining City. The second phase of the project (new plant) calcining rotary kiln has been commissioned and successfully produced qualified calcined coke.

 

The needle coke production project of Weifang Fumei New Energy Co., Ltd. succeeded in producing coke at one time, with the needle density of green coke being above 1.44, and the true density of the needle coke after calcining successfully reaching above 2.15.

 

According to the latest news of Baowu Carbon, due to market demand and cost factors, the two needle coke production lines currently maintain only one normal production, and the other production line is dedicated to pitch coke. The current monthly total output of needle coke is 4500-5000 Ton.

 

Shandong Yida New Material Needle Coke Phase I is currently undergoing overhaul of the rotary kiln, and the coking operation is normal. At present, the total monthly output of needle coke in Phase I and Phase II is 14,000 tons.
