ICC News: Customs statistics of Dec. 2012 showed China’s petroleum-based needle coke import volume amounts to 2,621 tons, down 68.58 percent in Dec. 2012. Major import sources are US, Germany and British and major import customs are Tianjin, Qingdao and Shanghai Customs. China’s coal-based needle coke (pitch coke) import volume totaled 4,170 tons, down by 4.45 percent compared to the same period of last year. Major import source is Japan.
