Needle coke market monthly report（9.1-9.30）

Chinacarbon news: Needle coke market performed steadily this month. On the internal market front, Jinzhou Petrochemical reported that part of facilities were in maintenance this month, during which time output was controlled at 1,000 tons per month; sales performance was at normal level, with prices remaining at 9,000 yuan/mt.  Shanxi Hongte Chemical posted normal pace in production and its purchasing has slowed down due to protracted sluggishness in downstream carbon enterprises; right now, its monthly output is controlled at 3,000 tons, and a maintenance plan lasting one month and half in October has been scheduled. On the external market front, petroleum coke-based producer Seadrift Coke made an announcement on Sep 7 on needle coke pricing for 2013. SNP grade shall be $2,225 per metric ton, SSP grade $2,625 per metric ton. These new prices are effective for any accepted orders with deliveries between 1 January through 31 December 2013. All prices are Ex-works (Incoterms 2010) Seadrift Facility. Depending on packaging, delivery terms or other special requirements, additional charges may apply.
