JV between Stellantis and LG to build battery gigafactory in US

Stellantis and LG formed joint venture to build a battery factory in North America,the new battery factory will be built in 2022Q2 and produce from 2024Q1，new battery plant will have annual production capacity of 40 Gwh,targeted to start by first quarter 2024.

The CEO of Stellantis CarlosTavares said,we are actively deploying the transformation to electric vehicles, and execute the promise in EV day held in July.We are sure that the electrification investment protofolio includes the new battery gigafactory, which will help us to realize at least 260 Gwh goal before 2030.
